Kim suffered many years of painful burn therapy, but she always longed to reach out and help other children who were victimized by war. She is now the UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Culture of Peace and chair of the Kim Foundation, a not-for-profit organization established to fund programs for children around the world who are victims of war.
